There are two main groups of students who may need to complete an RCR course:
In addition to online training, doctoral students admitted Fall 2011 or later, or who are funded by a covered NSF or NIH project, must fulfill an in-person RCR training requirement consisting of an approved doctoral RCR course. Successfully completing a doctoral RCR course satisfies the in-person training requirement of both the RCR Academic Policy for Doctoral Students and the RCR Compliance Policy.
Master's Thesis Students
Starting Fall 2014, master’s students who register for thesis hours (courses numbered 7000) have an RCR training requirement that can be fulfilled by completing online training OR in-person training. Click here to determine if a specific program contains a master's-level course that satisfies the requirement (these courses do not satisfy the in-person training requirement for doctoral students or for master's students who are funded by a covered NIH project).
